The long-lasting Progresso woodless pencil from Czech stationer Koh-i-Noor is one of our absolute favorite pencils for writing or drawing. It's composed entirely of high-density Hardsmuth graphite, sourced in the Czech Republic and famous for its artist-level quality, with a lacquer finish that prevents smudged fingers. Despite its breadth it still sharpens (with a standard sharpener) and retains a point surprising well, producing a broad flowing line that's highly enjoyable for those of us who like a bolder pencil.
