Dixon Best White 352 Vintage Color Pencil


Joseph Dixon was a printer, photographer, inventor and entrepreneur who, in 1827, among many other accomplishments,  produced the first pencil made in America and was responsible for the development of the graphite industry in the US. He founded The Joseph Dixon Crucible Company which, by 1870, was the  largest manufacturer of graphite products in the world. 

This Dixon Best color pencil dates from the 1950s/60s. In a testament to its quality, the white color is still rich and pigmented with a soft, and creamy finish.
