Ladies and gentlemen, get out your pens and paper! In celebration of National Handwriting Day (Saturday, January 23,) Greer is holding the first annual GREERChicago Write Off handwriting contest honoring this magical intersection of pen, paper, hand and thought. Show your penmanship to the world and be entered to win some pretty sweet swag while you're at it.
One winner will be chosen from each of three categories -- cursive, printed or freestyle (doesn't fit into either category) and each of the three winners will receive a $100 Greer gift certificate, to be used in-store or online, and a Kaweco Classic Sport Fountain Pen.
To enter all you need to do is:
1) Write this quote from Isaac Asimov in black ink on white paper: "Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers."
2) Snap a photo of your handwritten quote and post it to Instagram with the hashtag #greerchicagowriteoff and either #cursive, #print or #freestyle to indicate what category you're entering
3) Mention @greerchicago.
