Fugu Fugu Press is a wife and husband team based in Altadena, California. Shino illustrates with brilliant composition, Ken operates the letterpress with perfection, and Fugu is Japanese for pufferfish, which they both like for their "googly eyes and tiny fins." Fugu Fugu was founded in 2007 when Ken and Shino bought their first antique presses, a Heidelberg windmill and Chandler & Price platen, from an old printshop in downtown Los Angeles. We have carried their line pretty much from the beginning, in love with its focused color palette, simplicity and carefree sophistication.
