Hand-Blown Glass Dip Pen | 4 Colors
Because some moments deserve more intention. J. Herbin's handmade glass dip pen encourages a slower, more deliberate way of writing, making even a brief note feel like a mini event.
Hand-blown in the tradition of 16th-century Venetian glassmakers, each pen is individually crafted, making every one unique. The delicately twisted nib holds a generous reserve of ink, significantly more than a standard nib, enough to write a long paragraph or more without re-dipping, and the spiraled body allows a firm grip when writing. Left on the desk, it quietly invites you back to the page. Presented in a black gift box.
7" length
Using it well
1) Ink the pen by dipping to the base of the spiral, not just the tip.
2) If the point ever chips, a light pass on fine-grit sandpaper restores the line. This is normal for glass pens and not a defect.
3) Calligraphy ink is the ideal match because of its thicker consistency, though fountain pen ink works well, too. Ink is quickly and easily removed from the nib with water, making it easy to play around with new colors
