Hand-Blown Glass Dip Pen Swirl | 3 Colors
Because some moments deserve more intention. J. Herbin's handmade Swirl Glass Dip Pen encourages a slower, more deliberate way of writing, making even a brief note feel like a mini event.
Vibrant swirls of color are matched to a J. Herbin ink, carrying the story of the centuries-old ink maker into the pen itself. Hand-blown in the tradition of 16th-century Venetian glassmakers, each pen is individually crafted, every one unique. Nib is spiral-shaped to hold a generous reserve of ink, significantly more than a steel nib and enough to write a long paragraph or more without re-dipping. Presented in a black gift box.

USE AND CARE (also see video)
1) Before writing, dip the pen in ink beyond the tip to the upper end of the nib.
2) Nibs are surprisingly durable if treated with care but if the point ever chips, a light pass on fine-grit sandpaper restores the line.
3) Calligraphy ink is the ideal match due to its thicker consistency. Fountain pen ink also works well (that's what we use here at GREER.) Ink is quickly removed from the nib with water, making it easy to play around with new colors.
