The rubber band gets an aesthetically pleasing, surprisingly strong, and paradoxically rubber-free upgrade.

Japanese manufacturer Kyowa Limited has been producing rubber bands since 1923; its Silicone Bands apply a century of band-making expertise to a rubber-free alternative.  The silicone material keeps the bands vividly transparent, more resistant to heat and cold than natural rubber and suitable for those with latex allergies.  They're also remarkably strong and stretchy; we were able to expand them comfortably around an A5-sized notebook. Presented in very pretty packaging for a quirky little gift.
