Vintage Bus Blind Notebook

Sukie's Vintage Bus Destination notebooks are one-of-a-kind wonders, each covered in a piece of an original London bus blind dating from the 1960s, 70s or 80s, the latter being when they were retired from sturdy use. Blinds were screen printed, in striking typography, with the routes' various destinations, in white on heavy black linen; fabric quality is unbelievable given their age and the service they must have seen. Coated inside and out, for durability, the blinds were wrapped around a large roller the bus driver could turn manually to change.

Inside is smooth, creamy, substantially weighted Munken paper, manufactured in Sweden with strong environmental credentials. Notebooks are stitch-bound to lay flat when writing and are handmade in England. From Sukie, the preservers and reinventers of vintage ephemera.
