Staedtler 131 12 Vintage Pencil 2B

We have never encountered the Staedtler 131 12 pencil anywhere in our pencil journey until now. Its provenance could be clearer, but we know from the logo that its production dates to the 1960s and, from its packaging, that it was made in Germany, where Staedtler is based, and distributed in Malaysia. Lead grade is 2B, writes with a soft line but graphite has excellent point retention.
